A mentorship and support pathway for mothers building livelihoods in mother-care

A steady place to think, orient, and grow your work

Beginning February 25th, 2026

This is a mentorship running from February - December 2026, designed to support you as you grow, build, and steady your mother-care work.

ANCHORED exists for mothers who are doing meaningful, values-led work - and who are navigating the realities of earning, visibility, capacity, care, and change alongside it.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all strategies or ones that push you toward constant expansion as default, ANCHORED offers ongoing mentorship, perspective, and support so you can make decisions that are sustainable for you.

ANCHORED is a mentorship space focused on how you practise and stay connected to your values as your work and life evolve.

Enrolment for ANCHORED (Feb–Dec 2026) will open in mid-February, with the mentorship beginning on 25 February. ANCHORED is offered in limited numbers. Adding your name here means you’ll receive early access to enrol when doors open.

*Registering interest doesn’t obligate you to join ANCHORED. You’ll be added to my email list to be notified when enrolment opens and can unsubscribe at any time.

Who this is for

ANCHORED is for you if:

  • You are a mother building a livelihood in mother-care (in practice, support, advocacy, or adjacent work)

  • You care deeply about social context and doing this work in alignment with your values

  • You’re tired of advice that ignores capacity, care, and context

  • You want guidance and perspective without rigidity

You may also find yourself here if:

  • You value learning through reflection, shared language, and proximity

  • You want to feel steadier, clearer, and less alone as you grow and steady your work

You don’t need to be at a particular stage. Some people arrive early in their work, some established, some in transition.

ANCHORED is designed as a relational support pathway. You’re not here to ‘keep up’ or perform - you’re here to stay connected, oriented, and supported over time in your mother-care work.

What’s included

  • You’ll be invited to live monthly group calls where we gather for shared reflection, guidance, and conversation.

    Replays are always available.

These calls are a place to:

    • explore common tensions and questions across the group

    • hear perspective on real-world decisions and dilemmas

    • learn through others’ experiences

    • stay connected and oriented

  • Once per month, you’ll have the opportunity to submit a short voice message (up to one minute) naming a question or challenge you’re navigating.

I respond to these with reflective audio replies in a shared space, and I listen for patterns across the group and respond in a way that:

    • speaks directly to your question

    • names common themes and tensions emerging across the group

    • offers orientation and suggestions for ways forward

    • draws on my own lived experience of navigating mother-care work, business, and capacity over time

This means you’re not only supported in your own thinking, but also gain perspective through hearing how similar questions are being held and navigated by others.

  • Alongside structured support, ANCHORED includes proximity to my thinking as I navigate my own work and business in real time.

Across calls, audio episodes, and responses, I’ll share reflections from inside my own work - how I’m thinking about pace, support, sustainability, decision-making, and change. I do this intentionally to model how values-led work is navigated over time, amongst challenge, seasonal life changes, single mothering, grief, and changing social context.

Many people find this form of mentorship - learning through proximity rather than instruction - as impactful as formal teaching.

  • You’ll receive immediate access to a private podcast feed containing a curated mentorship series - episodes offering training, insights from my own business experience, and reflective guidance across the following themes:

    • pricing, sustainability, and ethical growth

    • designing businesses that account for caregiving, capacity, and season of life

    • creativity, focus, and multi-passionate work

    • comparison, visibility, and feeling activated by others’ offers

    • decision-making in uncertainty, especially during transitions or pivots

    • depth vs breadth - when to expand and when to refine

    • outsourcing, systems, and support

    • leadership, values, and building ecosystems

    • launching offerings

When you join, there are 10 core (anchor) mentorship episodes available straight away.

These are foundational pieces are designed to support sense-making, orientation, and clarity as you build and sustain mother-care work.

Over time, new episodes are added in response to the evolving needs, questions, and realities of the group.

Each month, one episode is often highlighted as a shared point of focus - something to sit with, return to, and weave into our group conversations and calls.

  • Each month, I’ll highlight one anchor episode from the archive (or add a new one), and share context about why it matters and how it may be supportive.

    You’ll receive:

    • a short written summary of key themes

    • optional reflection prompts

    • guidance on how this episode might support your current season

This offers orientation without pressure - you’re invited to engage in a way that fits your capacity.

What you can expect from your time in ANCHORED

ANCHORED offers a steady container in which meaningful shifts occur - in how you think, decide, and relate to your work over time.

Those who engage consistently in ANCHORED can be expected to experience:

  • A clearer sense of orientation in seasons of uncertainty, transition, or change

  • More confidence making decisions without over-researching, over-comparing, or outsourcing your judgement

  • Increased coherence across your offers, messaging, and ways of working

  • Less reactivity to comparison, trends, and other people’s launches or opinions

  • More confidence in saying no, refining focus, and making fewer but more aligned choices

  • A sense of being held within a thoughtful community of others passionate about mother-care

  • Greater clarity about what you’re actually building - and what no longer needs to be carried

  • More grounded decision-making, especially around pricing, pacing, visibility, and growth

  • Less isolation in the emotional and ethical complexity of this work, even when day-to-day practice is independent

  • A steadier relationship to earning money, without abandoning ethics, care, or capacity

You’re not meant to carry this work alone - ANCHORED offers a place to set things down, think alongside others, and move forward with greater steadiness.

You might find yourself here if…

  • You’re building a livelihood in mother-care and trying to do so in a way that actually works with your energy, health, and capacity - not against it.

  • You’re navigating how to create rhythms and structures in your work that offer steadiness and predictability, while still leaving room for creativity, flexibility, and change.

  • You care deeply about social context and want to integrate the realities of motherhood into your work and how you communicate it, without feeling unsure or exposed.

  • You may be considering growth, transition, or moving aspects of your work online - and you want to do this in a way that feels values-led and sustainable.

  • You’re resistant to shame-based or manipulative marketing, and want to sell and speak about your work in ways that feel honest, relational, and authentic.

  • And you want the support of a mentor who understands the social context shaping this work - someone who is also a mother, and who has lived experience navigating the complexities of building a mother-centred business over time.

ANCHORED:

Two Ways to Work Together

Anchored is offered in two pathways, depending on the level of support you need at this stage of your business.

Pathway 1:

Group Mentorship

This pathway includes:

  • monthly group mentorship calls

  • monthly audio teaching / podcast-style trainings

  • Voxer access on designated open days

  • community learning and shared reflection

This pathway is designed for:

  • contextual mentorship and guidance

  • sense-making, orientation, and recalibration

  • learning through patterns, examples, and shared conversation

Pathway 2:

Group + 1:1 Mentorship

This pathway includes:

  • everything in the group mentorship pathway

  • plus regular one-to-one mentoring sessions

This pathway is suited to practitioners who:

  • want individualised support re/designing offers, pricing, or business structure

  • are navigating pivots or income realignment

  • need space and help to work directly inside their business

  • benefit from individualised guidance and sustained attention

  • The 1:1 Mentorship Pathway is for practitioners who need individual, sustained support to make structural changes in their business - beyond what’s possible in a group setting.

This pathway exists because some work needs time, continuity, and focused attention to be done well.

    What this pathway includes:

    Ten 1:1 mentoring sessions

    Sessions can be used:

    • monthly over a longer period, or

    • more closely spaced during launch periods or times of focused change

Sessions are centred on your business (not general principles) and support work such as:

    • offer design or redesign

    • pricing and positioning

    • business model coherence and sustainability

    • strategic pivots or transitions

This allows us to work iteratively over time, rather than naming issues once and moving on.

    A whole-business lens

Within the 1:1 pathway, I work with your business as a system, not a collection of isolated offers.

    This includes looking at:

    • how people enter your work

    • where they get stuck or drop off

    • where offers compete or undermine one another

    • what may be impacting sustainability or income

The aim is ecosystem-level clarity, so decisions are made in context.

    Offer architecture

Support is given with how your offers relate to one another, including:

    • whether low-cost offers are supporting or cannibalising higher-touch work

    • whether pricing is creating confusion or misalignment

    • how care, ethics, and income are being held together

If you need space to work inside your business with sustained, individual attention, the 1:1 pathway is a good fit for you.

Participants in the 1:1 mentorship pathway are encouraged to book one session per month.

You’ll have access to a private booking link to book in your sessions once you enrol. Sessions can be rescheduled as needed within the program period.

Choosing the right pathway

If you are seeking:

  • perspective, orientation, and shared mentorship → the group pathway may be the right fit

  • structural change, redesign, or individual guidance → the 1:1 mentorship pathway is likely more appropriate

Both pathways sit within Anchored. They offer different levels of support for different needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No specific stage is required.

ANCHORED is designed to support mothers at different points in their work - from early stages of business through to more established.

If you are very early and looking for foundational business instruction on how to set up your business from the ground up, ANCHORED may not be the right fit.

If you’re unsure, you can reach out to me at info@drsophiebrock.com and I can guide you.

  • No.

While many people in ANCHORED work in practitioner roles, this space is also relevant for those working in education, advocacy, content creation, program development, and other forms of mother-care work. You don’t need to use the word ‘practitioner’ to belong here.

  • ANCHORED group calls are held once per month, on Wednesdays at 11:30am - 12.30pm (NSW, Australia).

    2026 Call Dates:

You’ll receive calendar invites and reminder emails ahead of each call.

All calls are recorded, and replays are shared for those who can’t attend live.

*Please note: Australian daylight savings changes occur during the year. All calls are held at 11:30am NSW time, and calendar invites will automatically adjust for your time zone.

  • All calls are recorded, and replays are made available.

You’re welcome to attend live when you can, listen later, or engage only in ways that fit your capacity.

In the lead-up to each call, you’ll receive a reminder email. If you know you won’t be able to attend live, you’re welcome to reply to that email and submit a brief question in advance.

Where possible, I’ll address submitted questions during the call. Priority is given to those who are present live, but I do my best to include advance questions when capacity allows.

This approach helps keep the live calls grounded and relational, while still offering meaningful access for those who can’t attend live.

  • Voxer is a free voice messaging app, available on iOS and Android.

Once per month, there is a designated Voxer open day where you can submit a short voice note (up to one minute) naming a question, tension, or decision you’re navigating.

I respond with reflective audio replies the following day.

    Voxer Days for 2026:

    • March 10 (responses on March 11)

    • April 7 (responses on April 8)

    • May 12 (responses on May 13)

    • June 9 (responses on June 10)

    • July 7 (responses on July 8)

    • August 18 (responses on August 19)

    • September 15 (responses on September 16)

    • October 13 (responses on October 14)

    • November 10 (responses on November 11)

    • December 8 (responses on December 9)

Questions and responses are shared in one group space so you can also learn from:

    • patterns across the group

    • how similar themes are being held and navigated

    • reflections drawn from both practice and lived experience

  • ANCHORED is intentionally designed to be flexible and non-overwhelming.

Between attending 1 call, listening to 1 podcast, and submitting/listening to the monthly Q&A in the voice-messaging space, I envision you’d spend between 2–3 hours per month engaging with the material and calls.

  • ANCHORED is best suited to people who already have some orientation to my work and the importance of social context in mother-care.

If you’re completely new, you may want to begin with one of my introductory or shorter offerings before joining this space. For example, see The Missing Piece in Mother-Care Work, or check out The Good Enough Mother podcast.

  • This offer does not support the development of certifications, practitioner trainings, or professional development programs within mother-care.

This boundary exists to protect the integrity of the work and avoid conflicts of interest.

  • ANCHORED runs from February 25th 2026 when we have our first opening call, to December 16th 2026 when we have our closing call.

A 12 month instalment plan is available to break up payments.

Please note that ANCHORED is not a month-to-month membership and cannot be paused or cancelled once joined.

A limited number of subsidised places are available to support equity of access. If you’d like to be considered, you can apply here.

Anchoring isn’t about staying still, it’s about orientation - having somewhere to return to as things move and change.

An anchor doesn’t still the currents or stop the waves.

But it does offer a point of steadiness - a way to stay connected to yourself, your work, and what you’re building - even as the context around you may shift.

ANCHORED gives you a place to feel connected, to take stock, to steady yourself, to seek orientation and guidance - and the sturdiness to lift and shift when it’s time to change course.

About me, and how I approach mentorship

Relationship, trust, and alignment matter deeply to me in this work. Mentorship is not something that happens through expertise alone - it’s shaped by connection, shared language, and how well we resonate in our ways of thinking and working. For that reason, how much you receive from ANCHORED will depend not only on your participation, but on whether this way of approaching work feels like a fit for you.

My academic background is in Sociology, with a PhD from the University of Sydney specialising in Motherhood Studies, and I’ve spent more than a decade researching motherhood, care, identity, and social context. Alongside this, I’ve spent the past seven years building a values-led, mother-centred business - creating and delivering a wide range of offerings including courses, a certification, mentoring, memberships, an in-person retreat, workshops, consultations, practitioner support spaces, and a long-running podcast.

I share this not to position myself as someone with all the answers, but to locate myself in the work - to name some of the paths I’ve walked and the experience I bring. Building a livelihood aligned with my values has been complex, iterative, and at times deeply challenging. I’ve had to actively seek support, experiment with different structures, and learn how to adapt my work to changing seasons of capacity, care, and responsibility.

A couple of years into my business, I found myself overloaded and overwhelmed, and really lacking the all-elusive balance. I’m not going to say I discovered some hack that I magically implemented that has helped fix things. But I’ve spent a significant amount of time, energy, money, and experimentation, finding ways through and creating scaffolds based on my needs and values, rather than adopting frameworks built on dichotomies of ‘hustle hard and grow’ vs ‘take it slow and take your time’.

I’ve navigated this work as a single mother, generating a consistent six-figure income across the last 6 years while holding the realities of full-time caregiving, sleep deprivation, the embodied demands of early mothering, mothering a child with complex health needs, and more recently, working alongside experience of deep grief. As my context and resources have shifted, my work has needed to shift with them. This has shaped how I think about sustainability, pricing, support, and what it actually takes to build a business that holds real life.

What I offer is mentorship grounded in lived experience, sociological understanding, and ongoing reflection - sharing how I think, decide, and navigate this work as it unfolds.

My intention in ANCHORED is to walk alongside you as you find your own way - offering perspective, language, and guidance that can help you move forward with greater steadiness, integrity, and clarity.

I come to this work committed to my own ongoing learning and development, guided by values of integrity, authenticity, and a deep commitment to making the world more liveable for mothers - including ourselves.

It is an honour and a joy to do this work, and I would love to support you in doing yours.

Before you join ANCHORED

A few important things to know:

  • As part of joining ANCHORED, you’ll complete a short orientation form so I can understand your work, context, and current season. This allows me to hold you - and the group - more thoughtfully in calls, audio responses, and shared reflections.

  • ANCHORED is designed for those developing or sustaining direct mother-care work - such as 1:1 work, groups, circles, community programs, writing, advocacy, and adjacent public-facing work.

It is not designed for those building practitioner training programs or certifications. If that’s where your work is currently heading, you may be better supported by mentors or advisors who sit outside this field and can offer guidance without overlap or conflict of interest.

  • The way I work is intentionally not based on hustle, expansion for expansion’s sake, or the idea that growth is always the goal.

At the same time, I run my business with clear income goals. As a single mother and sole provider with significant financial responsibilities, sustainability matters - and I don’t pretend otherwise.

I speak openly about this tension in the mentorship, including how I’ve navigated it and continue to over time.

  • I use paid advertising (including Meta ads) in my business. While I’m far from being an ads expert, I’ll share what I’m learning and how I think about visibility and reach in this context.

I also use AI tools in my work and will speak about the ways I use them inside the mentorship. I don’t disregard the ethical or environmental concerns associated with AI and hold those tensions seriously.

At the same time, I’m making conscious choices about how I work within the reality we’re currently living and working inside - including the ways not engaging with these tools can create additional disadvantage.

I strongly believe in the importance of not outsourcing my thinking, voice, or values to systems or technology. I do believe there are ways to draw on these tools while remaining the author of our work, using these tools with discernment, and staying in relationship with the ethical complexity.

If you hold strong concerns about paid advertising or AI tools, it’s important to know this before joining.

  • ANCHORED doesn’t assume you’re arriving with clarity or will leave the container with everything resolved.

Much of the work here involves learning how to make decisions without certainty and tolerate periods of not-knowing - moments that will inevitably arise over the course of ANCHORED.

The mentorship is designed to support this type of developmental work over time.

  • ANCHORED is designed to support fluctuating capacity. There is no expectation that you attend every call, submit questions regularly, or submit a voice note every Voxer open day.

It’s also completely welcome to attend every call, listen closely to each audio, and engage more actively if that feels supportive to you.

Participation here is self-directed rather than monitored. What matters is that you are engaging in ways that respect your capacity, context, and season.

At the same time, this is an active mentorship space. The clarity, steadiness, and movement you experience here will be shaped in part by how you show up - whether that’s through listening, reflecting, asking questions, or applying what’s offered over time.

Which pathway is for you?

Pathway 1 is for those who want steady, relational support, held within a group container.

This pathway offers ongoing mentorship, perspective, and shared learning to help you stay oriented as your work evolves.

Pathway 1 may be the right fit if you:

✔️ benefit from hearing how others are navigating similar tensions

✔️ are seeking perspective, orientation, and sense-making rather than bespoke strategy

✔️ don’t currently need sustained one-to-one support

✔️ value continuity, accompaniment, and shared learning over time

This pathway supports steadiness, clarity, and context as your work evolves - without requiring intensive individual support.

Pathway 2 is for those who want community plus individual, sustained and personalised support.

This pathway includes everything in the group mentorship, plus regular one-to-one mentoring sessions where we work directly on your business.

Pathway 2 may be the right fit if you:

✔️ want community plus individual, sustained support

✔️ are redesigning offers, pricing, or business structure

✔️ are navigating a pivot, income realignment, or strategic transition
